U.S.$5.7 Million Taia Resort Hotel Unveiled |

Sierra Leone's burgeoning tourist industry received a massive boost
with the opening yesterday of a prestigious first class Taia Resort
hotel on the Lumley beach, west of Freetown.
The US$5.7 million magnificently constructed hotel, with beckoning
ambience, is the brainchild of leading indigenous entrepreneur Wilfred
Sam King.
After his feat with the Kimbima hotel Sam King, and having explored and
operated one of the largest stationery enterprises - Sam King Services
- in the country, the business enthusiast said "the sky is the limit
for what one can achieve if you have the vision."
The 33 bedroom luxury hotel complex with its breathtaking sea view
includes exquisite presidential/honeymoon suites which come complete
with secretarial services; VSAT with wireless and wired internet access
along with IP phones for inexpensive international calls, and plasma
TVs with integrated DVD players and 16 channels satellite TV.
The elegant Mangrove restaurant offers a large variety of European and
African cuisines prepared by a highly experienced Chef along with a 24
hour lobby bar and reception desk.
'Meet and Greet' services at the Lungi international airport and onward
transfer to Freetown are available along with concierge services to
help guests move around, plus in-house tours of the beautiful Sierra
Leonean countryside.
Conferences, meetings and receptions can he held with state of the art
facilities located in the Prof. D.R.G. Gwynne-Jones hall Mangrove
conference hall and J.L. Borbor boardroom.
With the scenic Lumley beach on the doorstep, there is also a suspended

The US$5.7 million luxury resort was built with personal savings and loans from local and international banks.
