Tony Blair, Former British Prime Minister Arrives in Sierra Leone |

The
former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair has arrived in
Sierra Leone. Mr. Blair touched down at Freetown's
International Airport on board a BMI general flight at precisely
18:30GMT where he was received by Sierra Leonean Government officials
who first whisked him via motorcade from the foot of the plane to the
Lungi Airport Presidential Lounge.
After arrival formalities, Dr. Tony
Blair was brought across the estuary from Lungi into Aberdeen, Freetown
on board the Diamond Hovercraft Vessel.
Blair is spending the night inside
Freetown at Special Accomodation set up for him by President Ernest Bai
Koroma who is playing host to Blair.
Tony Blair is expected to hold
discussions with Sierra Leone Government officials and will be hosted
to a State Banquet and be taken on a sightseeing tour of Freetown
including the college premises where his father once lectured in Sierra
Leone.
