210784696_3d9172e2a8_m.jpgThe price of fuel and other petroleum products have been increased with immediate effect due to the dramatic increase in the price of Crude Oil on the international market. Talking to Africa News at the Headquarters of National Petroleum, the Marketing Manager, Sidi Bakara, said the Oil Marketing Companies in consultation with the Petroleum Unit of the Ministry of Trade and Industry have increased the prices of all petroleum products. He told Africa News that Petrol has been increased from fourteen thousand five hundred Leones per gallon to sixteen thousand five hundred (Nearly 6 US Dollars per Gallon). Diesel has increased from fourteen thousand five hundred to sixteen thousand five hundred and Kerosene from fourteen thousand five hundred to sixteen thousand five hundred Leones. Industrial Fuel Oil has been increased from seven thousand, seven hundred and five Leones to eight thousand seven hundred and sixty-seven point six-three Leones. Mr. Bakara, informed that the increases reflect additions made since 3rd December last year. Mr. Bakara assured the public that the situation will be under constant review and the prices will be adjusted downwards or upwards as the trends dictate.
